BMD Premiership Signings

Preparations are well underway for the Norths Devils inaugural BMD Premiership team in 2023 with the signing of Mackenzie Weale & Breanna Eales.

Mackenzie will join Devils in 2023 after lacing up her boots with the Newcastle Knights in the 2022 NRLW season commencing late August this year. Mackenzie has the ability to play in the centre’s and the middle with her powerful ball running. In 2021 she represented Queensland with the Under 19’s and played most recently for Devils BRL affiliate Club West Brisbane Panthers in the BMD Premiership.

Breaana Eales comes to the Devils after playing for the Valley Diehards in the 2022 South East Queensland Holcim Cup, and also representing Queensland in Touch Origin. A late starter to Rugby League, Breaana has the heart of a lion and has developed considerably with her time at the Valley Diehards.

Coach Zac Wallwork expressed his excitement with the development of the team.

“Tapping into the potential of young players and seeing them succeed is what excites me most. There is great opportunity for the club and the team. There is a lot of excitement at the club”.

Applications of interest are now open for players who have a desire to join our team and compete at an elite level.
