THE JOINT PHYSIO INJURY UPDATE RD4-5

Hostplus Cup Injury Update:

Round 4 – A split but no stitches, this time it was Gerome Burns cheek early in the game.

– Kierran Moseley had a slight aggravation of a tendon behind his knee due to a very high workload on a fairly heavy track at Wynnum.

– Eddie Blacker was rested for round 4 with a hamstring strain suffered prior to Easter at training. This was to allow him the best chance at a full recovery to play against the Capras.

Round 5 – And a full return he did – hitting his top speed of the season through the week and returning for a solid 32 minutes on the weekend in the middle without any hamstring issues.

– Round 5 also saw another split – James Flack had to leave the field with a very deep forehead split that could not be stopped on the field. He received multiple stitches and then passed his HIA to be able to return to the field in the second half.

– Moseley also went down early complaining of his neck. After some on field checks he was cleared of serious injury and allowed to continue playing.
