After completing his education at Holy Cross College, Ryde, Stevanovic earned a double degree in business and commerce, balancing his academic pursuits with his passion for rugby league.

In 2023, Stevanovic joined the North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup, making 48 appearances over two seasons. His contributions were instrumental in securing two minor premierships and reaching closely contested grand finals. Seeking further development, he participated in NRL pre-seasons with the Wests Tigers in 2022 and the Dolphins in 2025, gaining valuable experience and featuring in a trial match against the Cowboys in Cairns.

In 2025, Stevanovic transitioned to the Norths Devils in the Hostplus Cup, aiming to refine his skills under coach Rohan Smith. His debut for the Devils on March 15, 2025, was marked by a try and four successful goal conversions, significantly contributing to the team’s 44-8 victory over the Western Clydesdales.
