Junior Assistant Grounds Keeper (Full-Time)

We are looking for a motivated Junior Grounds Person who shares our passion and is eager to contribute to the day-to-day operations of our club. This role is ideal for individuals aged 18-21 who are seeking a full-time, hands-on position. Trust us when we say that no two days are ever the same!

The Role
We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Junior Grounds Person to join our team. As part of a diverse group, you’ll assist with the day-to-day operations of the Norths Devils Rugby League Club. This role offers valuable experience in grounds maintenance while working with a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and demonstrate effective time management while maintaining high service standards.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment in compliance with safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- General grounds tasks may include:
- Mowing, brush cutting, edging, pruning, and gardening
- Clearing and removing green waste
- Weed, pest, and disease control
- Line marking and grounds maintenance, including operating tractors or agricultural machinery
- Rubbish and waste removal
Skills and Experience
- Ability to obtain and retain a Working with Children Blue Card.
- Valid Previsional or Open Class Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
- Well-organised with good people management skills; self-starter.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
