Devils Team List: Rd 2 Vs Redcliffe Dolphins

The Palmerbet Norths Devils continue their heavyweight start to the season with a showdown with arch-rivals Redcliffe at Kayo Stadium on Sunday.

The Devils’ first six matches of the season are against last year’s finalists including four matches away from home. They began well with a clinical 25-12 defeat of grand finalists Burleigh Bears on the road last Saturday.

The Dolphins are next followed by Norths’ home opener against Souths Logan Magpies on Saturday week. Wynnum Manly (away), CQ Capras (home) and Northern Pride (away) follow. This Redcliffe clash has been tagged since the draw came out, bringing together two of the affiliates of the NRL Dolphins. That will ensure about 15 players who were part of the Dolphins NRL pre-season training schedule will feature in the match, adding spice to a rivalry that stretches more than 60 years.

The match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Dolphins’ NRL clash with St George Illawarra. The Devils will have changes from the team that dismantled Burleigh with the Dolphins calling back Isaiya Katoa and Jake Averillo for NRL duties after they made their Norths debuts last weekend. Devils forward Sam Elliott returns this weekend after missing the opening match.

Here are your Palmerbet Norths Devils to take on the Redcliffe Dolphins.
