Devils & Altus Traffic partner for National Road Safety Week

Every year, approximately 1200 people are killed and another 44,000* are seriously injured on Australian roads. Traffic injury is the biggest killer of Australian children under 15 and the second-biggest killer of all Australian aged between 15 & 24. These numbers are growing every year, but are preventable if we choose to DRIVE so OTHERS SURVIVE.

National Road Safety week is an annual initiative from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group, partnering road safety organisations and Government. The week highlights the impact of road trauma and ways to reduce it.

Devils will be partnering with Altus Traffic Management to raise awareness of this important initiative throughout the week.

Bishop Park will turn hi-vis on Sunday as Devils run out in our Altus Traffic Australia Road Safety Jerseys for our match against the Blackhawks.

Throughout the week, Altus Traffic & Devils will be sharing important messages on how each and every person can take important steps to reduce the impact of road trauma.

Our players will also be taking the Road Safety Pledge to Drive so Others Survive at our match on the 21st of May.   We will be calling on our supporters, families, sponsors and friends to also take the pledge.

You can take your pledge via https://roadsafetyweek.com.au/
