Devils unveil 90-year anniversary logo

Norths Devils have released a logo specially designed for the club’s 90th anniversary season in 2023.

The logo will feature on all the Devils’ training and playing gear in 2023.

The back-to-back premiers will mark the anniversary throughout next year.

“The Devils have played in each of the last 90 seasons through war and a pandemic, always proud to represent the northside community,” Devils president Michael Crutcher said.

“The club has always valued its history and we’re looking forward to the future, especially as we move into the women’s BMD premiership in 2023.”

Norths was formed in 1933 when the Brisbane Rugby League switched to a district competition, meaning teams had defined boundaries and represented the suburbs within those boundaries. Players having to prove they lived within a certain distance from the club.

The Past Grammars club became Northern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club while the likes of Souths, Easts and Wests were also inaugural participants in the competition.

The Devils would win the club’s first premiership in 1934 and more in 1938 and 1940. The club’s 15th first-grade premiership was claimed in September.

Further details on the Devil’s 90th anniversary will be confirmed once the 2023 season draw is released.
