Meg Ward Joins BMD Premiership Coaching Staff

The Devils are pleased to announce that Meg Ward will join the BMD Premiership Coaching Staff for the inaugural 2023 season. Meg brings a wealth of experience to the team, having competed in the NRLW Premiership winning team for the Brisbane Broncos from 2018 to 2020, including being the top points scorer in the 2020 competition. Meg represented the Jillaroos in the 2017 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, scoring three tries in the tournament. She made her Queensland representative debut in 2018, also representing the State in 2019.

Meg moved into a coaching role in 2021 as Assistant Coach at St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW guiding the team to the grand final. In 2022, Meg was the assistant coach for the Brisbane Broncos NRLW.

Head Coach Zac Wallwork says that the appointment of Meg is a major development for the success of the BMD Premiership team. “It’s great to have Meg join the BMD coaching staff. Her knowledge & experience through winning 3 Premierships with the Broncos and working as a coach will be great for our development and great for the senior players in the squad”

Devils welcome Meg to our team and look forward to working with her in the inaugural 2023 season.

Applications of interest are now open for players who have a desire to join our team and compete at an elite level.
