Devils heading to Roma for Country Week clash

This week the QRL announced the locations of the Activate Queensland! Country Week round for the Hostplus Cup.

This year will see the Norths Devils take on the Burleigh Bears at the famous Arthur Beetson Oval in Roma, about 515km North-West of Brisbane, on Sunday 24th July.

Roma is a town famous for it’s rugby league products including Darren Lockyer and the great Arthur Beetson, the first indigenous Australian to captain Australia in any major sport.

It will be a high quality game between two teams who are currently sitting at the top of the ladder.

The teams also faced off in the semi-final in 2021 at Suncorp as a curtain raiser to the NRL Grand Final with the Devils going on to win the Premiership a week later.

No doubt both teams will be looking to prove a point and make an impression to the die-hard rugby league fans in Roma.

The final match times are yet to be announced so keep an eye out for those details releasing soon.
