The Devils have an incredible history of success. The pinnacle of this was the golden era from 1959 – 1969 during which the Devils won 8 premierships.
To pay tribute to our long and proud history we are releasing a limited edition retro jersey, based off the classic design of the 60s and 70s. Made in Sydney, the jersey features the ‘Little Devil’ logo, the golden stripes, and a list of all premiership winners since 1933 on the back.
The Devils were a force to be reckoned with in the 60s, after Clive Churchill had already led them to a premiership in 1959.
Bob Bax then came on board as one of the most influential and successful Rugby League coaches of all time.
Bob’s teams reached Brisbane Rugby League finals 17 times in 18 years, and his clubs won nine of the 14 grand finals they qualified for.
Modern supercoach Wayne Bennett credits Bax as an influence on his coaching career – the young Bennett was coached by Bax in the 70s.
Looking back at the team photos of the premiership teams, there are too many Devils legends to name.
The retro jersey is a ‘school leaver’ style jumper that honours Devils of the past with a list of premiership winning sides on the back.
Made in Sydney, these knitted jerseys are a high quality product.
Please note this is a pre-order product. We will collect orders until Sunday 27th June after which we will receive the jerseys in approximately 8 weeks, with the aim to be in stock for our final home match on Sunday 29 August.
