QRL cancels 2020 statewide competitions

On Friday, the QRL made the decision to cancel all state competitions for 2020 due to the ongoing health emergency.

This decision was made in the interest of prioritising the health of staff and players.

This is a heartbreaking moment for many who have dedicated months to preparing for this season, as well as those in the community who rely on the competitions financially.

But we are not in this alone – this health emergency is affecting everyone in some way. We extend our best wishes to people struggling at this time and to our fellow sporting clubs dealing with these sudden changes.

This is new ground for us. The Norths Devils have been a part of this community for 88 consecutive seasons. We have never missed a season even during World War II. Some of the fibre of this club was developed during that war as players mourned teammates lost in battle.

We will be back in 2021 for our 89th season.

We are grateful to have supporters and sponsors who want to see the Devils thrive and to share our passion for junior development and community work.

To those who have already reached out and offered your support at this time, we thank you again.
