Norths break new ground in 2018

Norths have started the year with three wins and a number of exciting milestones.

Guy hits new milestone

Norths Devils recruit Guy Williams reached a new milestone on Sunday when he moved into 8th position of most appearances for any player in the Queensland Cup. The Devils win against Souths Logan was his 219th game which brings him level with Danny Burke on the list.

If Guy continues to feature in the Norths lineup for the rest of the season he could potentially move up as high as 4th on the list overtaking James Wood on 222 games, Bredon Lindsey on 224, Phil Dennis on 230, and Matt King on 232.

Gehamat debuts for Norths

Broncos young gun Gehamat Shibasaki also reached a milestone on the weekend, making his Norths Devils debut as Devil No. 1268. The young centre will be looking to prove himself in the senior competition as he progresses in his journey towards an NRL debut.

Norths unbeaten streak continues

In a remarkable first three weeks of competition the Norths Devils have not lost a match in all three of their grades (Mal Meninga Cup, Hastings Deering Colts, and ISC) making them 9/9 across the board. However they will be keeping their feet on the ground with a number of tough matches coming up and the Burleigh Bears also remaining unbeaten in the ISC competition.

Three of the Norths starting team have also been named for the extended bench for the Brisbane Broncos clash this weekend which could mean some change for the team when they take on Wynnum Manly at Suncorp on Sunday.
